Strawberry Cream Cheese Double Almond Pie


Fresh berry pie is a sure sign of summer. The secret to our pie is a layer of Love’n Bake Almond Schmear between two layers of pie dough. The Schmear adds a complexity to what is really something quite simple. Use your favorite pie crust recipe, making enough for a double crust. Roll out two circles of dough, spreading one with the Almond Schmear. Sandwich them together and you’re on your way to making a memorable pie.

We’ve tried this pie with strawberries but blueberries, raspberries or a combination would work. The fresh cream cheese filling resembles a no bake cheesecake. This filling holds up well and won’t make your crust go soggy. If you like to fuss, make individual tartlets using this same recipe.
